The Sofia Garbe Thespian Crew Scholarship

$1,000 Scholarship

Applicants must be graduating seniors who have participated in the production of school plays as part of the “stage crew”. Stage crew will be defined as any role in support of school plays which is not a performing role. Examples include but are not limited to: curtain person, painting, costume design, carpentry, lighting, etc. Applicants must be in good academic standing.

Applicants must outline that they have participated in a minimum of 2 performances during their time at Lindenhurst High School and how their activities positively impacted the production as well as what it has meant to the student to be part of the Thespian Crew.

The Sofia Garbe Memorial Scholarship

$5,000 Scholarship

Sofia Garbe was a Lindenhurst student who was a supremely talented writer, actress, and singer. Sofia was tragically taken away from us going into her junior year. Through Sofia’s written words, her “gypsy” spirit and achievement in theatre, writing and singing live on. The Sofia Garbe Memorial Scholarship seeks to honor one senior for outstanding achievement in writing and performance.
